The result: a gorgeous silk scarf that portrayed nine bouquets of flowers from all four seasons, gracefully illustrated with berries, butterflies, dragonflies and insects. There, Rodolfo Gucci wanted to gift her a special present and commissioned artist Vittorio Accornero to create a floral pattern for an original silk scarf. The legendary Flora print holds much significance in Gucci’s history, dating back to 1966 when Princess Grace visited the brand's Via Monte Napoleone store with her husband Rainier, the prince of Monaco. And to celebrate this beautiful floral motif, an exclusive new scent from the family of Flora fragrances, Gucci Flora 1966, was also unveiled. Here, customers could have a Gucci artisan personalise their own Flora motif scarf (Gucci's most iconic), with their own initials, hand-painted on. Those who were invited to the store over the weekend, had the chance to observe Gucci's meticulous Florentine craftsmanship at a specially set-up Silk Artisan Corner. A certain hypnotic floral scent lingered the air at the Palladium in Mumbai this weekend, and Gucci is to blame for this mesmerizing fragrance.
